Supporting the Arts in Education

With many schools cutting arts programs (music, dance, theater, visual art), I thought it would be a good idea to share some Arts advocacy links with you.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed that our programs will remain untouched.

Please take a few minutes to check out the content at one or more of these links.  It is my wish that they will give you ideas for supporting the arts in schools, and even more importantly, keeping art a part of your childs life at home.  It is important and it does make a difference in their lives!

A variety of links (especially the ones under ADVOCACY) to get you excited about having ART as part of your child’s education:  http://www.princetonol.com/groups/iad/links/artedu.html

One of the many links on the above site that is especially helpful if you’d like to find a way you can support the arts in education:

Also, I want to hear YOUR stories of how the arts (not just ART, but any of the arts) have had a major affect on your learning and/or life.  Ask family and friends and share their stories as well!
