Second Graders Mix Value Scales

As second graders at RPE, students have been introduced to tints and shades and have learned how to make them a with a few media.  This lesson introduced them to the value scale and challenged them to create several values of one color.  Each student thought of an image that could showcase at least 5 values of one color.  Then, we used tempera cake paints to add color.  Of course, they had to mix at least 5 values of their color in the artwork.

Can you find the value scale in these artworks?
